After School Program
We are not currently accepting applications for Fall 2020.
Our after-school program is an opportunity to provide academic support, and build relationships with children K-5 who are experiencing homelessness. As an after-school volunteer you will empower students through learning, and have fun along the way! Volunteers assist in facilitating our easy-to-follow curriculum. The curriculum includes: 40 minutes of homework help, 20 minutes of literacy support, 25 minutes of enrichment (a read aloud, paired with a corresponding activity). Volunteers will work with 1 to 3 children at a time depending on the number of students at the site. Learn More!
TIME COMMITMENT The program takes place in one of our partnering shelters for a designated two-hours, Monday-Thursday. We ask that volunteers select a site and consistent day of the week that they will volunteer for the entirety of the program semester. Through your commitment, you will build stronger relationships with the students we serve. REQUIREMENTS
