Meet Vince Parisi (he/him), our passionate AmeriCorps State & National Member from Park Ridge, IL. Vince's deep connection to the significance of reading in his own life drew him to HOPES. As an AmeriCorps Member, he is excited about the opportunity to work with kids and inspiring them to discover the joy of reading for fun—a mission that aligns perfectly with his belief in the transformative power of literature.

​For Vince, being a volunteer means utilizing the insights and experiences he has gained to inspire meaningful change and positive habits in others, ultimately contributing to a better world. Beyond his dedication to service, Vince enjoys a diverse range of activities in his free time, including reading, practicing yoga, and writing. Additionally, he is currently engaged in the enriching journey of learning Spanish. We're delighted to have Vince as part of the HOPES team, and his passion for reading and commitment to inspiring positive change are ​sure to make a significant impact on the communities we serve!

Introducing Tyler Hughes (she/her), an enthusiastic Americorps State and National Member hailing from Washington, DC. Tyler's dedication to education and ensuring that all children receive the assistance and resources they need to excel led her to HOPES. In her role as an AmeriCorps Member, Tyler is most excited about building connections with students and team members, working collaboratively to make a positive change in their lives.

For Tyler, being a volunteer holds the profound meaning of providing assistance to those in need and going out of her way to help others—a commitment that aligns seamlessly with her passion for education. In her free time, Tyler brings a musical flair to her life, impressively  mastering six instruments. Additionally, she was a dedicated Girl Scout for 12 years, showcasing her longstanding commitment to community service and personal growth. We are thrilled to welcome Tyler to HOPES, where her dedication to education and diverse talents are sure to contribute to the positive impact we aim to make in the lives of the children we serve!
