A shared passion unites these remarkable young professionals for education and community service. They have come together with a common goal: to inspire and support our students, fostering an environment where learning is both fun and impactful. Joseth shares, "As an immigrant, I have always wanted to give back," reflecting the deep personal motivations that drive our new members. Their excitement is palpable as they look forward to making meaningful connections with the children, engaging them in educational activities, and contributing to their personal growth.
What draws this exceptional group to HOPES is their deep commitment to making a difference. For many, the opportunity to work with children, inspire a love of reading, and witness the progress of their students is a driving force. They are enthusiastic about building relationships, sharing their knowledge, and being a positive influence in the lives of those we serve. Over the past month, we have seen firsthand the incredible impact this group has already made. From creating engaging learning experiences to assisting with field trips and providing a caring presence, they have seamlessly integrated into our team and become a vital part of our summer programming. Their dedication to volunteering reflects a genuine desire to give back to their communities and support others without expecting anything in return. Will G. expresses, "To me, volunteering is about being of service to others! Being a volunteer means situating myself and the abilities I have to offer in the context of what a greater community/entity needs and asks of me," highlighting the profound sense of purpose that guides their efforts. Their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm continue to enrich our programs and uplift our students. We are incredibly grateful for the commitment and energy that Joseth, Abby, Aniya, Maddie, Tricia, Kay, Yanni, Olivia, Jamie, Ryland, Vianney, Emily, Owen, Bella, Will B., and Will G. have brought to Chicago HOPES for Kids. Their contributions have already made a significant difference, and we look forward to the continued positive changes they will bring throughout the summer. Thank you for your dedication and for being such an essential part of our HOPES family! |
