About the Position
The Site Coordinator position is a unique opportunity for anyone with experience in education, social work or community development looking to build their skill set. The Site Coordinator will serve as a liaison between Chicago HOPES for Kids and the shelter site, and is responsible for creating an environment where volunteers and students can connect and grow. Site Coordinators are expected to be on-site during each program session, Monday-Thursday. This is a part-time position starting at $23/hr with opportunities for advancement. It is possible to extend the commitment to future programs sessions, if interested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in education, social work, or related field preferred, or equivalent life or work experience
Prior experience working closely with elementary or middle school-aged children
Prior experience with children who have experienced trauma and/or homelessness preferred
Prior experience coordinating programming for children preferred
